Chicago 98 @ New York 102
Madison Square Garden

New York Knicks guard Chris Duhon scored 19 points against his former team – and the rookie who replaced him, Derrick Rose. Quentin Richardson led the Knicks with 24 points. Meanwhile, Derrick Rose had 20 points – the most that any rookie has scored in a Madison Square Garden debut since LeBron James scored 22, and Luol Deng also had 20 points. Meanwhile, Knicks centre Jerome James will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured Achilles’ tendon.

Dallas 95 @ Philadelphia 93
Wachovia Center

Dirk Nowitzki could shoot straight for most of the night. But he hit a 17 foot buzzer beater at the end of the 4th to end the 76ers winning streak at 7. Nowitzki finished with 24 points, Jason Kidd had 22 points and Jason Terry added 20 for the Dallas Mavericks. For the 76ers, Lou Williams had 25 points, Andre Iguodala had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Andre Miller had 12 points. It was also the first appearance of Matt Carroll and Ryan Hollins in a Mavs uniform. The Sixers were still without Elton Brand, who is expected to return against the New York Knicks on Saturday.

Denver 113 @ Houston 115
Toyota Center

The Denver Nuggets are annoyed. They felt that they were robbed in the dying seconds of the game. Linas Kleiza drove the lane before passing to Nene for a dunk. But the dunk didn’t count, due to what the umpire called a ‘charge’ by Kleiza. Kleiza wasn’t happy. Coach George Karl wasn’t happy. But the Houston Rockets got the win. Yao Ming had 31 points, Rafer Alston had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the win. For the Nuggets, J.R. Smith had 24 points, Nene had 23 and Kenyon Martin had 22. Von Wafer added 18 for the Rockets, and Luis Scola had 16.

Toronto 84 @ Atlanta 87
Philips Arena

The Toronto Raptors’ woes continue, as the Atlanta Hawks get themselves back in form. Joe Johnson scored 28 points and Mike Bibby had 23 points to topple the Raptors by 3 points. Josh Smith, the only front court starter available for the match, had 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Marvin Williams (concussion) and Al Horford (knee) both missed the game. For the Raptors, Chris Bosh had 22 points and 14 rebounds, and Andrea Bargnani had 20 points and 10 rebounds. Jermaine O’Neal, who is involved in trade rumors, was out with a knee injury.

San Antonio 86 @ Charlotte 84
Time Warner Cable Arena

In the last 10 seconds of this game, things went off. Tim Duncan’s shot got blocked, then Duncan blocked Raymond Felton’s shot on the other end, only for Boris Diaw to get the rebound and shoot for 3 points on the buzzer…. and miss. Tim Duncan had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs, while Tony Parker had 13 points and 10 assists to lead the Spurs to a lucky, and narrow, victory. For the Bobcats, Raja Bell had his best game in Charlotte colours with 25 points, and Boris Diaw also contributed with 16 points and 13 rebounds. New Bobcat acquisition, DeSegana Diop, was deactivated before the game.

Minnesota 94 @ LA Clippers 86
STAPLES Center

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been hot recently. The LA Clippers, on the other hand, have not. Al Jefferson had 20 points and 17 rebounds, while Craig Smith also had 20 points for the Timberwolves in their Hollywood win. The LA Clippers had no less than 6 players unavailable for the game, with key players Baron Davis, Marcus Camby, Chris Kaman and Zach Randolph, and role players Jason Hart and Mike Taylor, all injured. For the Clippers, Eric Gordon had 25 points, and Steve Novak had 18. Al Thornton suffered foul trouble during the game.

Indiana 100 @ New Orleans 103
New Orleans Arena

With 2.5 seconds to go, Indiana Pacer Danny Granger hit a 3-pointer to tie the game up. And, in the next 2.5 seconds, New Orleans star Chris Paul responded with a 3 of his own to end some premature celebration by the Pacers. Granger ended with 30 points as he played in his native New Orleans, and Paul finished with 27 points in the tight match. For the Hornets, Peja Stojakovic had 26 points, and Rasual Butler had 17 points. David West missed the match, and Tyson Chandler and Hilton Armstrong both suffered injuries during the match. For the Pacers, Troy Murphy had 17 points and 11 rebounds, Stephen Graham had 14 and Mike Dunleavy and Jarrett Jack each had 11.

Washington 98 @ Golden State 119
ORACLE Arena

Jamal Crawford sank 28 points, Stephen Jackson added 26, and the Golden State Warriors sank the struggling Washington Wizards – now equal last in the league (with Oklahoma City). Corey Maggette added 16 points for the Warriors, and Kelenna Azubuike finished with 17, while Anthony Morrow had 11 and Andris Beidrins got 15 rebounds. For the Wizards, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and Andray Blatche each scored 22 points. The Wizards are still without Marco Belinelli, Brandan Wright and Monta Ellis, while the Wizards are still missing Gilbert Arenas and Brendan Haywood.

Detroit 87 @ Memphis 79
FedEx Forum

Both teams needed to end a losing streak. The Pistons achieved that goal, while the Grizzlies’ agony is prolonged. Allen Iverson scored 27 and Rasheed Wallace got 13 points overall to give Detroit a win. Meanwhile, Rudy Gay and OJ Mayo led the Grizzlies with 15 points each.

Phoenix 87 @ Boston 104
TD Banknorth Garden

Rajon Rondo had 23 points to lead the Celtics back to what they used to be. Paul Pierce had 12 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, Ray Allen had 20 points and Kevin Garnett had 16 points. All four of Boston’s stars sat out the last quarter, as the Celtics cruised to a win. Shaquille O’Neal led the Suns with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Amare Stoudamire only managed 3 points (all free throws). Suns coach Terry Porter called it the ‘worst loss of the season’.

Milwaukee 85 @ Portland 102
Rose Garden

Greg Oden had a career-night. 24 points and 11 rebounds. He did all that to help the Portland TrailBlazers walk all over the Bogut-less Milwaukee Bucks in Portland. LaMarcus Aldridge added 22 points for the Blazers. Meanwhile, Richard Jefferson and Charlie Villanueva each had 23 points for the Bucks, who came off a disappointing loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Cleveland 88 @ Los Angeles Lakers 105
STAPLES Center

Lakers VS Cavs. But, more importantly, Kobe VS LeBron. Kobe Bryant finished with 20 points and 12 assists to lead his team to a smashing victory over the short-handed Cleveland Cavaliers, despite dislocating his finger. Pau Gasol had 22 points, and Andrew Bynum and Sasha Vujacic both finished with 14 points. Derek Fisher scored 11. For the Cavs, LeBron James had 23 points, Mo Williams had 16 points and Sasha Pavlovic had 12 points. Delonte West and Zydrunas Illgauskas both missed the game.

Dam the Bobcats lost, yeah it was a very exciting end to the game.

The Celtics are finally back on a winning role, i thought they would of just overpowered the Phoenix Suns as in the second quarter they were winning by 30 or so. Rajon Rondo was superb while Shaq was good at the start but just slowed off near the end of the game.

I like how that if Kobe had 4 less points and 4 more assist, he would have as much assist as points for what, the first time?

Good team work Kobe! bounce

Yes, he is definitely shaking off the ball-hog tags, and becoming a team player
