Jerryd Bayless got a chance to be the starter, after Steve Blake’s injury, and he made the most of it with a career-high 23 points. And his Trailblazers edged out the New Jersey Nets. Brandon Roy was the hero, with 29 points. LaMarcus Aldridge added 20, and Travis Outlaw managed 13 for the Blazers. Devin Harris had 18 for the Nets, while Brook Lopez had 17, Bobby Simmons had 14 and Vince Carter had 13 while playing injured.

Cleveland 93 @ Chicago 102

The Cavs and the Bulls wasn’t really expected to be a match up, but the Bulls took Cleveland to overtime, and eventually won 93-102. Derrick Rose had 16 points, and Luol Deng had 22 to lead the Bulls over LeBron’s Cavs. LeBron James had 28 points in what he described as a ‘rough night’ and Maurice Williams added 26. Cavs guard Delonte West appeared to break his wrist whilst trying to block a Rose lay-up.

Phoenix 113 @ Denver 119

Another overtime match, and the Denver Nuggets defeated the All-Star Phoenix Suns. Chauncey Billups had 26 points, Nene had 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Kenyon Martin had 24 points for the Nuggets, while Carmelo Anthony missed yet another game through injury. The Suns, playing without Shaquille O’Neal (who regularly misses games to preserve his health), got 25 points from Grant Hill, and 20 from Steve Nash. Amare Stoudamire finished with 21 points. JR Smith hit the shot that gave them the win.

OMG CAVS lost!

I know, that result really surprised me. Big shock of the night, obviously!

Portland over Jersey, not really that much.

Chicago over Cleveland, D-Rose had a big night against the NBA's greatest at the time.

I am not surprised that the Suns and Nuggets could put up that many points, high offensive teams, not much defense.
