| I think only the Spurs have a chance at this.
Hornets, Rockets, and Mavs slim chances.
Hornets will need to be ran around the likes of All Star Chris Paul who has had a awesome start to his career. David West will also have to step up if they are any show of taking home the championship. They Mavericks are a up and down team, one simple thing is they have to have Jason Terry fully fit to come close and Dirk has to be playing at his best.
For the Rockets they are possible contenders although with a bad relationship between the Rockets stars Yao Ming and Tracey McGrady they could full out of the frame.

| Yes i hope the Dallas Mavericks, but would not really give them much a show although I agree with your statement about having Jason Terry fully fit they will be right in contention. Spurs will come clo0se I think but dont really know if they will win it but I would like to see Duncan pick up MVP! | |

| I can see them being the #8 seed in the West for sure. Gambling chances they are 6 or 7. They still have to play teams like the Lakers, Spurs, Hornets, Nuggets, and Blazers. | |

| With Tracy now finally out of the picture for the rest of the season the rockets are going to be a better team. The offense will move a lot faster and the ball will not have to go through Tracy's hands every time. I'm not saying that they will be a contender, but I do believe they have a legitimate shot. Now that the all star break is over with and Artest and Battier are fully recovered the ppg against us will decrease and the ppg will increase since Von Wafer will receive a lot more minutes. It happened last time when Tracy set out for two weeks and Von filled in, but we did not have Battier healthy yet. | |

| I agree! But the best chances are for the Spurs, especially since the Hornets lost Chandler with the Thunder trade. | |

Chandler's back at NOH now, he failed the physical. Chandler will be very happy to remain in New Orleans. The Thunder really wanted that trade to happen but that was not to be. Wilcox finds himself now playing for the New York Knicks since a further trade was done.

| Oh ok.
But I was hoping they can trade someone for a big man like Amare Stoudemire (Possible), Brad Miller, Shawn Marion, or Ben Wallace.

| I wouldn't call Marion a big man...
But anyway, Back on topic
I reckon if any of these teams is to be Champions, the Spurs would be the ones.

| That's an useless trade
Trade Wilcox who averaged good rebounds and still young for 1 old bench?
I have no freaking clue why Thunders did that!

Definitely the Spurs, they are a very strong team and have been playing well of late when the likes of Tony Parker and Tim Duncan are running the show. Roger Mason had been playing good and was great to see him competing in the 3 point challenge in Phoenix at the All Star Week. Does anyone else see another team that has a chance to win the championship this year?
