Cavs and Kings doing up a deal! Empty
PostSubject: Cavs and Kings doing up a deal!   Cavs and Kings doing up a deal! Empty29th January 2009, 09:58

"There were two players in The Q Tuesday night not wearing Cavaliers uniforms that the franchise has big plans for in the near future. A center and a guard, as a matter of fact. Their names are Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Delonte West.

Over the last month, there have been rumors of varying intensity circulating that the Cavs may want to trade for two Sacramento Kings who made their annual visit Tuesday. Center Brad Miller is perhaps the most available starting big man in the NBA right now. Starting swingman John Salmons has also been in the rumors. Yet the way it stands today, according to multiple league executives, the Cavs remain pleased with their roster and may not only sit out the Miller sweepstakes but the trade deadline frenzy as well. All of which re-affirms the position they have taken for the last month.

After going through their recent West Coast trip at 3-1 despite being down the aforementioned West and Ilgauskas, the team's decision-makers are even more convinced in their depth and chemistry. Miller, who is still a highly productive center with one of those valuable contracts that expires in 2010, does have a skill set the Cavs would like. He can shoot from the outside and is a good rebounder, like Ilgauskas."

I REALLY THINK THIS WOULD BE A GREAT DEAL FOR BOTH TEAMS BUT I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF THE KINGS COME BACK WANTING A 2 ROUND PICK. SALMONS HAS BEEN A GREAT SCORING PLAYER FOR THE KINGS THIS YEAR AND WILL BE A BIG LOSS IF THE DEAL DOES INFACT HAPPEN. LOOKING AT THE DEAL NOW AND IF THEY DID IT TOMORROW YOU WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE CAVALIERS MIGHT JUST BE ON THE BETTER SIDE, WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Won't happen. The Cavaliers are smart enough to know that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Detroit made that mistake, look what happened to them!!!

I don't think so. I can see the Cavs improving more than the Kings in this one. They would get Brad Miller who is a little more athletic and a better shooter (good for free-throws and can shoot for 3) and also a better rebounder. While Salmons has been on FIRE, scoring more than Martin now, isn't he. He has been making so many shots lately, ddespite having one of the wors records in the league, Salmons and Miller will work great with Williams, James, Wallace, and the others.

Delonte West has been good this season. They shouldn't trade him!
But Big Z is aging

Hold on! Cavs best defensive? Probably either Spurs, Suns, Celtics, or Lakers.

Well the Cavs are only giving up about 90 points to the other team.
I think that's #1 still.

I would definitely say its a pretty good trade for both teams, but if i need to make a decision i would say the cavs getting the better deal. Imo Salmons has been playing as good at West and has had probably his best season. Since Miller has came back into the Kings lineup he has been a bit quieter and hasn't been coming up with the points which he was showing in the first half of the season.

Ya, I agree. He hasn't had to worry. You could tell Miller really wanted to get more minutes but he didn't really.
